Amatőr irodalmi fordítóverseny Csokonai és Preradović munkásságának fordítása című versenyen vettek részt magyar és horvát diákok. A határon átnyúló horvát-magyar rendezvényre 2019. március 5-én Csurgón, a Csokonai Közösségi Ház nagytermében került sor. A Csurgó Város Önkormányzata szervezésében, a “Preradović & Csokonai – celebration of romantic poets of the cross-border area” (HUHR/0601/212/0011) című projekt keretén belül megrendezett eseményen Szabó Sándor Csurgó város alpolgármestere köszöntötte a résztvevőket. Köszöntőjében kiemelte: a pályázat egyik célja az, hogy a nyelvi nehézségek ellenére is szót tudjunk érteni egymással. A mai rendezvényen irodalmi magasságokban, versfordításokkal és azok előadásával próbáljuk megtalálni a közös nyelvet, ugyanakkor mindezt olyan költőnagyságok művein keresztül tesszük, mint a horvát Petar Preradović, valamint a magyar Csokonai Vitéz Mihály – tette hozzá.

A pályázati felhívásra 4 magyar és 6 horvát versfordítás érkezett be, melyek előzetes zsűrizésen estek át, így a versenyzők feladata a helyszínen, a saját maguk által fordított vers előadása volt. Az előadásmóddal további pontokat gyűjthettek a versenyzők.

A versfordítások értékelését követően Szabó Sándor alpolgármester, valamint a három tagú zsűri okleveleket és díjakat adott át a versenyzőknek. Az esemény állófogadással zárult. A rendezvényt Petar Preradović, továbbá Csokonai Vitéz Mihály megzenésített verseinek lejátszása színesítette.

Croatian-Hungarian poetry translation competition was held in Csurgó

Hungarian and Croatian students took part in the competition called Amateur literary translation contest, translation of Csokonai and Preradovć’s works. The cross-border Croatian-Hungarian event took place on March 5, 2019 in Csurgó, in the main hall of the Csokonai Community House. Sándor Szabó, deputy mayor of Csurgó, greeted the participants at the event organized within the framework of the project “Preradović & Csokonai – celebration of romantic poets of the cross-border area” (HUHR / 0601/212/0011) by the Municipality of Csurgó. He emphasized in his greeting that one of the aims of the competition is to be able to speak to each other despite language difficulties. At today’s event, we try to find a common language at literary heights, with translations of poems and their performances, but at the same time we do all this through the works of poets such as the Croatian Petar Preradović and the Hungarian Csokonai Vitéz Mihály, he added.

The call for proposals received 4 Hungarian and 6 Croatian translations of poems, which were previously juried, so the task of the competitors was to perform their own version of poem translations on the spot. Additional points related to the mode of performance could be given for the contestants.

After evaluating the translations of the poems, deputy mayor Sándor Szabó and the three-member jury presented diplomas and awards to the competitors. The event ended with a standing reception. The event was enriched by the playing of the musical poems of Petar Preradović and Mihály Csokonai Vitéz.
